One year of
ocean impact…
We’re proud of our commitment to removing 60,000kg of plastic waste from our oceans over the coming year. This is the equivalent of powering eight full-time waste collectors to tackle plastic pollution for an entire year! This partnership not only enables Nomia to offset our plastic footprint but also supports a movement towards lasting environmental and social impact, and inspiring our industry to join us in taking action for a sustainable future.
We’re turning purpose into action for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Our commitment to the planet is in our DNA
At Nomia, we are dedicated to partnering with Seven Clean Seas to develop long-term waste management solutions, supporting the vision of An Ocean Without Plastic: Picture It! Through large-scale projects that prevent and intercept plastic pollution, we’re creating meaningful social and environmental impact through formal employment opportunities and engaging local communities.
Our commitment to sustainability includes removing 60,000 kg of plastic in collaboration with Seven Clean Seas. This incredible milestone is equivalent to offsetting the average annual plastic consumption of 2,870 employees for an entire year!
Social Impact
Seven Clean Seas also prioritises social impact alongside environmental restoration, aligning perfectly with Nomia’s commitment to meaningful, sustainable change. Unlike many in the industry, Seven Clean Seas upholds ethical labour practices, offering all staff fair wages, benefits, and equal opportunities. Beyond ocean cleanup, they empower individuals through community education and school programmes designed to reduce plastic consumption. By integrating social enrichment with environmental action, Seven Clean Seas, with the support of partners like Nomia, drives sustainable progress that benefits both people and the planet.

How it works
We work with Seven Clean Seas, an ocean impact organisation on a mission to remove 10,000,000 kg of ocean plastic pollution from the marine environment by 2025. With projects in some of the most plastic-polluted locations in the world, their work is vital for ocean health.

Why does it matters to us?

Every year, approximately 11 million tons of plastic enter the oceans, a figure projected to nearly triple by 2040 if no action is taken.

Did you know that on average, 1 out of 4 people don’t have access to waste management? This leaves informal waste collectors earning as little as $1-$8 per day, often under unsafe working conditions.
