Dane Nielsen is Chief Strategy Officer at Nomia, where he leads the company’s strategic agenda across growth, operating design, capital allocation, and long-term value creation. Having recently transitioned from the role of Chief Financial Officer, Dane brings a combination of financial discipline, investor mindset, and operational leadership to help shape Nomia’s next phase of expansion as a global procurement management platform.
During his time as CFO, Dane played a central role in strengthening Nomia’s financial foundations, improving working capital performance, enhancing reporting, and planning processes, and aligning investment and resources with the company’s strategic priorities. In his current role, he works across the business to translate Nomia’s vision into a clear strategic roadmap, helping ensure the company scales in a disciplined, commercially effective, and globally coordinated way.
With broad experience across strategic finance, private equity, operational improvement, and executive leadership, Dane has worked with founders, management teams, and investors to drive growth, improve performance, and create long-term enterprise value. His background includes supporting complex transformations, capital strategy, organisational development, and cross-border operations in dynamic growth environments.
Dane holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master of Science in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business in partnership with HKUST, and a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University, where he was a Division I varsity baseball athlete and served as President of the Student-Athlete Council.
A practical and analytically rigorous leader, Dane is focused on helping Nomia scale with clarity, alignment, and measurable impact, combining strategic thinking with execution to support long-term growth and customer value.
